The Fibre Studio is delighted to offer you an evening with Mary Giehl. Mary is a current artist-in-residence at the McColl Center uptown. Mary is from Syracuse, New York and will be in Charlotte until late March.
Needle felting is a dry method of felting which uses a special tool with multiple needles that have one way barbs. The needles are repetitively pushed into the fiber causing the wool fibers to compact and fuse together.
In this workshop, you will be designing and drawing with fleece into dupion silk. The finished piece will be at least 10×10 inch square.
All materials will be supplied. Bring a few images to start working from.
Date: Tuesday, March 20
Please call The Fibre Studio to reserve your spot.
